    Diet and Medication

Diet and medication can be effective tools to improve your overall health and well-being. Depending on your needs, your treatment may include anti-epileptic medication management (may be used to treat status epilepticus) and non-pharmacologic interventions, along with recommendations for a ketogenic (high fat, low carbohydrate) or modified Atkins diet.

    Compumedics

Our Neurodiagnostics Services Department holds a complete suite of technology provided by Compumedics, a world leader in neurological monitoring and brain research systems. Dense-Array EEG

We were the first in Florida to offer dense-array EEG, which features a 256-electrode sensor net that captures brainwave activity with much more precision and area than the 18 to 24 electrodes utilized in traditional EEGs. A sophisticated geodesic monitoring system uses 11 cameras to produce a detailed image of your brain’s electrical activity. When combined with your MRI, a 3D model is created to help pinpoint abnormal activity.
